Chapter two · Inside a real class
Every class is a story we dance together.
From hello to goodbye, each dance has a familiar rhythm. The story changes, but the comforting shape of class helps children settle, participate and grow.

We arrive & connect
Every child is welcomed by name and finds their spot in the circle.

We warm up to the music
Simple dance steps and gentle stretches get our bodies ready to move.

We enter the adventure
A story takes over the room — dinosaurs, deep sea, outer space.

We move & cooperate
We dance the story together — taking turns, sharing ideas, trying brave things.

We settle & celebrate
Calm breathing, a gentle goodbye, and a proud wave to grown-ups.

Children are the dancers — the story helps every step mean something.
What grows along the way
Little steps. Big things growing.
Children come to dance. Through each shared story and movement, they also practise skills that carry into everyday life.
Coordination
Dance sequences help children practise balance, rhythm and body awareness with the music.
Connection
Group dance practises listening, turn-taking, and the everyday skill of making friends.

Hi, I’m Natasha — around here you’ll hear little voices calling me Miss Tash. Dance wasn’t the outcome. Dance was the vehicle. Development was the destination. That realisation inspired me to create The Little Monsters Method™ — a unique, evidence-informed approach to childhood development that uses dance as the foundation for learning.
While children think they’re setting off on a magical monster adventure, they’re also developing confidence, emotional regulation, communication skills, creativity, coordination and friendships.
