Little Monsters Dance Club

Frequently Asked Questions

The things grown-ups most often ask us.

What is Little Monsters Dance Club?

We're a children's movement education program for ages 2–5. Children experience fun, imaginative adventures — while underneath, each class is designed to support their development. We often say: development is the product, and dance is the vehicle.

Is this therapy?

No. Little Monsters is allied-health-informed, not allied-health treatment. Our classes provide rich opportunities to practise movement, communication and self-regulation, but we do not diagnose, and we are not a replacement for occupational therapy, speech pathology or any professional care.

What ages are the classes for?

Our classes are for children aged 2–5.

What happens in a class?

Every class travels through the same 10-step journey — from Belong (a warm welcome) through moving, discovering, creating and connecting, to Reset (calming down) and Celebrate & Reflect. The theme changes each time; the developmental journey stays the same.

My child is shy, very active, or has additional needs — can they join?

Yes. Little Monsters is inclusive by design. Every activity offers seated, lower-sensory, observer and helper options, and children can join in the way that suits them. Behaviour is treated as communication, and effort matters more than perfect performance.

When and where do classes run?

We currently run classes in Derrimut, at Dance Evolution, 2 Makland Way. ⟨PLACEHOLDER: current times (OD-02)⟩ Register your interest and we'll share the timetable.

How do you keep children safe?

Child safety is central to everything we do. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and align with the Victorian Child Safe Standards and the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. You can read our Child Safety & Wellbeing Policy on the Child Safety page.

Can I bring Little Monsters to my area?

Yes — that's exactly what our Business-in-a-Box™ is for. Tell us about your community on the Licences page and we'll be in touch to talk it through.

Do you take photos of my child?

Only with your written consent, and you can set limits or withdraw consent at any time. Photography follows our Child Safety & Wellbeing Policy.
