Every child safe, heard and valued

Child safety and wellbeing are central to everything Little Monsters does.

Our commitments

Little Monsters Dance Club has zero tolerance for child abuse. Children's rights, safety and wellbeing are paramount, and every decision places their best interests first. We are committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, the safety of children with disability, and the safety of children of all backgrounds, genders and abilities.

How we keep children safe

Aligned with the Standards

We align with the Victorian Child Safe Standards (11 Standards) and the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.

Safe, screened people

Working with Children Checks, reference checks, a Code of Conduct and child-safe induction for everyone who works with children.

Children are heard

We empower children about their rights and make it easy and safe to raise a concern.

Inclusive & culturally safe

We respect every child's identity, culture, ability and background.

Careful with images

Photography and recording happen only with parental consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

Clear procedures

We identify, respond to and report concerns promptly and appropriately.
